GEARS Expands Information Technology Services

Global Evaluation & Applied Research Solutions (GEARS) Inc., has expanded its information technology capabilities with the addition of the Division of Information Technology Services (DITS). The new division will provide comprehensive information technology services to all GEARS clients, increasing the level of services GEARS has provided since 2004 with the support of qualified consultants. In October 2011, GEARS hired Ted Ridley, CSSLP, ECSA, CEH to fill the position of Director, Division Information Technology Services. 
 
“We realized that our clients required IT services from professionals who understand and embrace the GEARS Trusted Advisory approach,” says GEARS President, Diane Roberts. “We worked with Ted as a subcontractor for years and were fortunate that he accepted our offer to join GEARS,” adds Roberts. “This addition to our corporate capabilities will ensure seamless service delivery to our clients, supporting our mission to provide services that help our clients become people ready, environment ready and technology ready!”

Ted is a Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), Certified Security Analyst (ECSA) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). He has more than 25 years of experience in IT with a focus on client-side application development, network design, network security and large program management. Ted comes to GEARS from BlackStream Technologies, LLC, an IT security firm whose clients include AT&T, LexisNexis and WellDoc, Inc. His previous experience includes federal and private contracting as a principal consultant, consulting manager, and global delivery manager of an internationally based security team. He also served as the senior vice president of business development for an international security consulting and training firm.
 
Supporting the management of DITS is Will Johnson, Senior Systems Architect. Will is a seasoned IT manager and technology architect with more than 20 years of experience in building and enhancing the productive relationship between an organization’s business processes and an optimally managed IT department. Will’s past experience includes serving as project manager for projects with the U.S. Department of Defense, within the banking industry, and at global insurance and global telecommunication companies.

The GEARS Division of Information Technology Services (DITS) provides a full range of IT services including Security services in vulnerability assessments and compliance, IT Infrastructure design and support, relational Database development, website development, Sharepoint development, and private portal development.
